And as it turns out, the rumors and semi-official news was all true: In celebration of the dynamic duo's 10th anniversary, Sony has announced the Ratchet & Clank Collection .
It includes Ratchet & Clank , Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando , and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal , all remastered by Idol Minds, a team that is "working closely" with original series developer, Insomniac. The Collection boasts beautiful 1080p HD, 3D support, plus three Platinum Trophies; one for each title. As an additional bonus, they're tossing in online multiplayer for the latest of the three games, Up Your Arsenal , which is great news for those who want to get everything they can out of the new R&C experience.
The Ratchet & Clank Collection is slated to release this fall in North America. It'll be available in the spring in Europe but that's because they've got "something very special planned" for the North American fans. Any guesses as to what it could be? What more could we ask for, really? This is one of the most critically acclaimed and beloved franchises of the past ten years!
