Mortal Kombat II Hits Store Tomorrow

We knew it was coming, but we didn't have any of the details. Well, now we do.

Sony has finally come forth with the official announcement and information concerning the release of Mortal Kombat II for the PlayStation Store. According to Totally PS3 , the classic arcade hit will be available on April 12 (that's tomorrow, folks) and retail for $4.99.

You'll be able to play as any one of twelve characters and move forth to unlock more hidden characters and opponents. Ten "unique" levels are prepared for your fighting pleasure, which leads us to believe they may feature revamped or retooled visuals. Fans can also jump online to play, and see how they stack up against the world's best (just make sure you're schooled in the MK arts, young grasshoppers). And of course, one of the mainstays of the franchise will be on full display: the finishing moves known as Fatalities, Friendships, or Babalities.

Yes indeed, Mortal Kombat is back, and we get to relive it in all its original glory!
