DiRT 3 is one of the more fulfilling racing experiences currently available in stores.
But if you missed out, you'll be able to nab the upcoming Complete Edition and be even more fulfilled. Codemasters has announced the new edition, featuring over $30 worth of extra content for the reasonable price of $39.99.
The press release notes the game's 87 average on Metacritic (ironically, the same score we gave it), and don't forget that we also called it the best racing title of 2011 . The Complete Edition will boast 12 new routes across a couple fresh locations, a bunch of new cars, and some added cosmetic bonuses. Check it out:
The Monte Carlo Rally Pack: Eight breathtaking Rally stages featuring dramatic climbs, descents and hairpins of snowy mountain roads. Race through the Alps and conquer the legendary Col de Turini pass.
The X Games Asia Track Pack: Four new routes set across two new tracks in Shibuya, the neon heart of central Tokyo, where spectacular mud-spattered Rallycross circuits weave beneath towering skyscrapers.
The Power and Glory Car Pack: Stars five cars including the BMW M3 Rally, Lancia Delta S4, Ford Focus ST Rallycross, Scion tC and Chevrolet Camaro SSX Concept, each with a range of liveries.
The Mud and Guts Car Pack: Features five cars available for single-player, split-screen and online multiplayer events. Race the Lancia Stratos, Peugeot 205 T16 Evo 2, Citroën C4 Rallycross, Saturn Sky and Ford Mustang GT, each with a range of liveries.
The Colin McRae Vision Charity Pack: Access the Ford Escort Mk II, a 70s rally classic with five liveries.
The Ken Block Special Pack: Features a customized and upgraded Ford Escort Mk II, an Open Class Rally car sporting a killer Ken Block livery.
The Mini Gymkhana Special Pack: Access the mid-engined Mini Cooper S Gymkhana, customized and tuned to become an outrageously responsive Gymkhana car.
The DiRT 3 Complete Edition will arrive on store shelves for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC some time next month.

so disappointed there going the arcade route with the next dirt game.
shame because dirt 3 sold pretty well too, theres so much more they could of done with the series!
oh well hopefully they treat this as a spin off and come back to the sim roots later.
after a longer than intended wait i finally picked this up last month and have downloaded half the DLC already so this is kinda unpleasing news to me… oh well i still have a great game to play and soon hopefully a bunch more people to race against online. and as far as i understand the next dirt is a spin off, i am pretty sure i read somewhere that there will be a dirt 4 down the road.
Sucks that my buddy bought DiRT 3 not too long ago. Also, no one plays online anymore. My buddy sais that he's always alone when he gets in to an online lobby.
The best thing about these complete editions is that it always knocks the price of the standard version way down and I can pick it up for cheap.
