Super Bowl XLVI is right around the corner; it features the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. The last time these two teams met in the championship game was four years ago, and the Giants ended New England's bid for a perfect season.
And according to the Madden NFL 12 simulation, New York will once again get the better of Brady and Co. The Patriots fall behind 24-10 in the third quarter and claw their way back to tie it at 24 apiece, but the Giants win it on a last-second field goal. Check it out.
Also, don't forget that this simulation isn't taking Gronkowski's injury into account; if the big tight end can't play, a lot of experts say the advantage goes to New York. New England fans are definitely hoping for some revenge and in truth, so am I…the Giants beat my Niners in the NFC championship game, a game San Francisco absolutely deserved to win as they totally outplayed New York for the majority of the game. Bah.

I usually go with the team coming in on fire and the Giants are that team. It seems the team that gets on the roll late in the season wins the whole damn thing in the past couple seasons.
The past couple of Madden ads have been mostly PS3, don't you remember the whole Madden day ads NFL players were passing out the PS3 version of the game.

ruh roh. I wonder if the Madden CURSE applies here. I am from Indiana and therefore I'm a big Colts fan. The two greatest momemts of my life came when the Patriots were defeated back to back by the Manning brothers.
The 2006 AFC Championship is one the best games I have ever seen. The Colts were down 21-3 at one point in the game but came back to win it thanks an offensive clinic put on by Peyton starting in the second half and one final epic drive by the Colts in the last 2 minutes of the game that put them up 38-34. The game ended with a Tom Brady interception. So many demons were exorcised that day by the Colts. They finally got past the Patriots. Seeing Brady hang is head in despiar….priceless. The Colts went on to easily handle the Bears in the Superbowl.
The next year the Patriots loaded up with talent and ofcourse were undefeated heading into the Superbowl. They were heavy favorites but the Giants defense came to play that day. The Grreat Escape by Eli…he chucks the ball up and by some miracle Tyree catches the ball against his helmet while almost getting his back broke by a Patriots defender. That has to be the best play in Superbowl history.
I'm pulling for Giants ofcourse. The Giants are on a hotstreak and defiintely had a harder path to the SB. Knocking off the Falcons, GB, and SF was a lot harder path than what the Patriots faced. They are probably a more complete team than the Patriots. They already beat the Patriots this year when their roster was depleted with injuries.
No, I don't think it hurts Peyton's legacy if his litlle brother whens another SB. Peyton has been on a team that had some good offensive skill players(that Peyton made better) but so much of the team was made up of undrafted free agents on defense and special teams. Eli and Brady have always been on more complete or balanced teams. It's a miracle the Colts won even one SB with the defensive talent surrounding Peyton most of his career. They had to score 30 pts a game to get a win most of the time.
Yeah, it sucks Peyton was hurt but one down year is worth getting the number one draft pick which happens to be one of the best quarterback prospects since Peyton. They cleaned house and now have a new GM and a real coach now. Goodbyre blinky(caldwell) and good riddance to that soft cover two defense that had 10 yuard cushions. Sadly it might mean goodbye to Peytion as well but it was one hell of a ride with him under center. Thanks for the memories Peyton and thank you so much for bringing home the Lombardi trophy to Indiana.

What do you think about Peyton most likely (probably definately) being gone this year? Andrew Luck is a nice piece to start over with though.
The 2006 AFC Championship was a gem, that is for sure.
But the best playoff games of all time in my book all center around who was playing QB for one of the teams.

In 1999, Warner hit Bruce for a 73 yard TD, and in the end, relied on Mike Jones doing his job at the 1 yd line. Rams win 23-16
In 2001, the Rams were hosed by the NFL's willingness to over look every cheating play the Patriots did in the SB. Oh, need more proof, ask the 2001 Raiders. They might have an opinion on the "Tuck Rule". Patriots win 20-17.
In 2008, a then reborn Kurt Warner leads the defunct AZ Cardinals to their first Super Bowl. Warner and Fitz play brilliant, but the Cards lack of defense results in a third crazy Super Bowl for Warner. Steelers win 27-23.

You must have seen a different NFC championship game, because from what I saw, the 49ers didn't outplay the Giants.
