Jak And Daxter Collection Finally Hits Shelves On February 7

Man, February just keeps getting better and better.

Fans have been clamoring for a high-definition collection for quite a while, and their wish will finally be granted next month.

The Jak and Daxter Collection , featuring the first three installments in the critically acclaimed series, will launch exclusively on the PlayStation 3 in North America on February 7 . Our European friends will have to wait a little longer, as it won't be ready until February 22. For the typical HD remake assembly price of $39.99, players can re-experience Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (which debuted back in 2001), Jak II , and Jak III . The package will also boast stereoscopic 3D support and over 100 Trophies to nab. Yes, these collections have proven to be quite a boon for Sony and the PS3, and they give long-time fans a chance to revisit their favorite titles.

We're still looking forward to other high-def upgrades, such as Final Fantasy X HD . That one is a must for just about everyone, wouldn't you think?

I'm seriously thinking of picking this one up. $40 for 3 big great platforming/action games is a great deal. I never got around to finishing these games so I think this is a great opportunity to play through them again. I just gotta wait a couple of weeks 🙂

One of my favorite adventure games of all time (Donky kong 64 being my favorite…)

but still sony not only gives us the most new games but also give us the best old games!

Even most my friends who also liked xbox 360 better are admitting to ps3 having more and better games!

What the damn?! I swear that publishers have never, ever heard of spacing their releases. I've already had to put off my purchase of a Vita due to insufficient funds, and I may just have to pass on this collection, even though it's one of my most highly anticipated. Well… not pass, but delay. Binary Domain comes first 🙂

With ND working on 2 projects now, I'd say future Jak title is as good as being handed to another developer like Sly Cooper.

Well I never played Jak before, so this one is off my radar.
Still waiting for Ratchet Collection.

The last few jack and daxter games (psp games later ported to ps2) have all been done by other developer(s?)

High Impact Games is basically a creation of Naughty Dog employees and seems to have done a decent job so far

But ya I wanted a Ratchet and clank collection more than a Jack and Daxter or sly cooper!

Phew! After Devil May Cry HD was delayed, I was worried Jak HD would be too. Thank God.

Can't wait for this. I never played the games on the PS2 but I have this pre-ordered Day 1!

I've yet to buy any of these collections. Too many games to play at the moment.

But I do have my eyes on the MGS, DMC and Team Ico collections, as well as FFX HD.
Yet another collection to add to my list. These were amazing.
