Oddworld: Munch’s Oddyssee Confirmed For PS3, Vita

Can't get enough Oddworld ? We've got good news.

Not long after Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD launched on the PlayStation Network, another Abe adventure gets confirmed for the PSN. This one will also be redone in attractive high-definition visuals.

According to developer Just Add Water's Twitter page , Oddworld: Munch's Oddyssey will be delivered to PS3, PlayStation Vita, and other platforms. Here's the Tweet:

"Coming Q2 2012, for PS3/Vita and others ;)"

As a reminder, if you're looking for the original title, which was well ahead of its time and was more of a puzzle/platformer, that too is on the Network. The controls can be a little tricky but once you've got them, you're in for one of the most unique and unbelievably well designed quests ever. Munch's Oddyssee was good, too, though, so stay tuned for more info.

Personally, I don't think they should've gone away from that first formula. But these days, if there's not at least some semblance of action, it's tough to sell. Shorter attention spans and such.
