You probably recall that huge mess between Infinity Ward and Activision, with IW bosses Jason West and Vince Zampella right in the midst of the ordeal. You should also remember that West and Zampella formed a new studio, Respawn Entertainment, with their new multiplatform IP set to be published by Activision competitor, Electronic Arts.
Well, we've been waiting on news of that game ever since we heard about the new studio. Thus far, no concrete details have been located, but Respawn was good enough to provide us with a very blurry image that apparently represents their new project. Easy, right? We don't need any other hints. We got it. We can tell everything from that; genre, theme, style, gameplay, characters, story, etc… Don't worry, you don't need to tell us anymore. That's plenty .
…bitter sarcasm aside, what do you think you see in this picture? Many are saying it looks like an FPS, which wouldn't surprise anyone, given the team's background (West and Zampella weren't the only ones to abandon Infinity Ward for Respawn). Maybe we'll get more hints soon.
It looks like people standing, watching from a distance what looks like a mushroom cloud over a city.

agreed, maybe someplace tropical. but seeing what i assume is a mushroom cloud i'd say fps as well. either way can't wait for the details.

Looks like one of the atom bombs been dropped.
I think the people standing around watching are the members at PSXExtreme, and the mushroom cloud just blew up all turn based RPGs. The irony? It's the story of revenge for turn based RPGs, but the gameplay is FPS based.
I see mecha-soliders and a space ship… not interested.
Starhawk is nothing for you then. 😉
This is not earthly. I definitely see alien landscape.
A huge open world in a sci-fi setting, endless exploration is for granted, with loads of exciting characters and races, collectibles, character customalization, utterly complex crafting, all wrapped in amazing BioWare style stories.
Do I also see something like a space station in the background there, taking us to plenty of other planets, all with their own eco system, economy, challenges, dungeons and storylines? I think I do!
Day one purchase!!!

We can only hope, although the odds for that are a billion to one.
Hmm possibilities are endless, it could be a sci-fi environment, probably a shooter. I see 2 soldiers with huge mecha things by the side looking into the distance, where another mecha/ or mushroom cloud can be seen.
Never really got into CoD much… I guess i'm not one of those 20 mil+ people who splurge out year in and year out on CoD games… Dont get me wrong i like FPS games and all that but if these guys from IW can put forward a good idea and put in a good effort to go away from their FPS roots… I'll be interested

I hear its supposed to be a FPS and set in space = not interested.
This is the 3rd image they've provided and first was blurred as well..I want to say I see a mushroom cloud with some palm trees or other small clouds
I think that pic is pretty old actually. I swear I've seen it a long time ago.
I imagined so too – at least the same kind of stunt, but it's a *long* time ago and not sure for whom.

They themselves have been releasing blurry pictures as details of their games, this is one of multiple ones of theirs, it wasn't THAT long ago, haha.

Wow, seriously? Releasing a picture of a toothpick would of been just as effective since that bloody blurry picture only confuses you.
No way one can tell from that image that it's a fps. People are just saying that it "looks" like a fps because it is logical that Respawn's game is a fps. I'm sure that it is a fps, but I sure the hell would not base that claim off of that useless blurry picture.
Respawn guys: I know a way to build up some hype for our next game!!
EA: What did you have in mind?
Respawn guys: We will put out a series of worthless blurry images. The public will eat it up.
EA: Cool. Is there a way we can put an online pass on it or make it into some kind of cool day1 DLC?

Didn't Respawn already say they're first game was a shooter? I thought I read an article somewhere about that. But I definitely know they said it had a scifi theme to it.
Either way, I'm not interested till I see an image where I can tell what the hell's going on in it.
Not sure what you guys are seeing, but since I can't blow it up or analyze it on my crappy monitor, all I see is a right-sided boobie hovering over me, LOL
I see a blue eye & a black nose. I have NO idea what that might be though. I also see maybe a mouth as well.

Yeah, it looks like the face of an angry, slightly anthropomorphic rabbit to me. There's a specific animated rabbit that it resembles, but for the life of me I can't recall the specifics.
My first thought was Sly Cooper's icon, but then the rabbity image poked into my noggin.

im sick of shooteres and since they have never done anything besides shooters i doubt ill be interested in this.
i wish developers would give us something new, i mean we get sick playing the same game over and over and over and over and over again.

i love making games, but if i had to spend the rest of my life making shooters id shoot myself!

It looks like Squidward from spongebob, right in the middle.
I like BikerSaint amnot able to blow it up or see much for that matter. Am I the only one that sees a "War Of The Worlds" aspect to the picture. Maybe I am just tired or not paying close enough attention, but that is what it kind of looks like to me.
