Warhawk was awesome, so we have super high expectations for Starhawk .
For all those interested, the private beta kicks off on November 22. According to an update at the PlayStation Blog , select loyal Warhawk fans should start seeing invitations in their inboxes. It's a "slow roll," though, so don't freak out if you don't see an invite immediately. Just be patient.
And here's a great behind-the-scenes look at how Lightbox Interactive is approaching this spiritual successor:
By the way, you can increase your chances of getting into the private beta by registering on the official site , and Sony will be working with various major sources (G4, IGN, GameSpot, 1Up, USA Today, Maxim, etc.) to give you even more opportunities to land a spot in the test.
If you don't get in, don't despair. You bought Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception , didn't you? Well, there's a Starhawk public beta code in there; you just have to wait until early next year to jump into the testing action.
Related Game(s): Starhawk
I had the most fun with Warhawk this gen for online shooters, and this Starhawk looks even more awesome. One reason is the new art theme, my only aversion to warhawk was the pseudo-ww2-future look with cartoony proportions. But now starhawk looks like it targets a little older age group with a more sci-fi forward design. Plus, Transforming mech-jets are just awesome no matter your age 😉
Agreed! I love Mechs and Jets. 😀
Next year? What is the point of the beta if the game releases just a few weeks away?
What are you talking about?!
The Private Beta releases on November 22. Few days away.

you do realize that the games not out till late 2012 right?
well, 11/12/2012 according to EB but i doubt thats right.
games VERY rarely release in december, especially that close to chrissy.
the point of a beta? are you serious? even if the beta comes out a few weeks before the actual game release, they use it to fix all the bugs in the system, most likely the online multiplayer. thats what multiplayer betas are for. they make sure to find all those bugs with the help of some select customers so the final release of the game would have a stable multiplayer experience. also, betas are always done before the game releases. what are you talking about next year?

"You bought Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, didn't you? Well, there's a Starhawk public beta code in there; you just have to wait until early next year to jump into the testing action."
Few. There's way too many games this year to find space for a Starhawk beta.
heck yeah i got uncharted 3 fully equipped with a starhawk beta code baby! cant wait
From the looks of Starhawk, doesn't look like a GOTY material, but it does look like it's tons of fun.
Don't really care If It's not GoTY Material, as long as It's a lot of fun, and I'm liking what I see.
warhawk wasnt a game of the year type game thought but its one of the best and fun multiplayer games i've played.
Indeed john, Indeed.
as long as you bought it in the states of course.
sigh.
why do $ony keep doing this?
what, its illegal to supply access to betas outsides the states?
i dont see M$ saying oh sorry no you cant have a gears code in your halo reach game because your not in the states.
sigh…….
typical $ony, first in line to grab your money but when it comes to giving you what you paid for there nowhere to be found!
anyway, onto the game.
looks interesting, i never tried warhawk simply because it was a online only game and i have enough d*cks screaming at me at work.
might give it a try since they say plus members will get in at a later stage.
just wish the campaign was longer then 6 freaking hours, talk about a half a$$ed job!
yea its beyond the point of the game, but if your going to do something at least do it properly!
you dont see ND shoving in a half a$$ed multiplayer mode now do you?
looking forward to starhawk. i liked playing warhawk, at least after they included a tutorial. i bought the game for the mic but when i tried the game i blew up everytime i get in a warhawk. after i learned to fly it i started enjoying it. the only thing i didnt like with warhawk was the level system. not only did i have to get experience, but i had to go out of my way to earn the required ribbons/awards. i got stuck at a level because of an award. i couldve gone up between 5 to 10 levels with all my experience points. i have to admit though that after a while i couldnt care less about leveling up.
