If you loved Warhawk , pay attention.
As revealed at the PlayStation Blog , the beta test for Lightbox Interactive's Starhawk will begin next month.
Lightbox president Dylan Jobe announced that testing will begin with a private beta in November; selected players will be invited in waves. Interestingly enough, eligibility in this private beta will be determed by your rank/level in Warhawk , your activity in the Warhawk community, and "a few other magical parameters." Buying Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will not get you into this first testing phase; the voucher code you get with Naughty Dog's latest is only good for the public beta, coming next year.
Really, if you're looking for a refreshing, invigorating multiplayer experience and you missed out on Warhawk , we strongly suggest you take a look. You might be more excited for the spiritual successor.

I would love to try out Starhawk. Throwing RTS elements into the TPS-like formula that Warhawk had is an amazing idea, which I hope really works out for LightBox as it could very well revolutionise the genre, if done properly. I'm probably not going to, but I would love to.
I liked Warhawk but not necessarily loved it. Being online only I felt kinda ripped off. I want at least SOME kind of story to tell me why this setting exists. Should be cool to see what Starhawk brings in this regards.
I was so high ranked and played that game a massive amount…a couple years ago. I'd love to get an invite but I doubt it also.
Nice ! But i know damn well i aint getting in untill U3 codes are active. I loved WARHAWK i just hated the ranking system and how it took TOO DAMN LONG to rank up if you didnt have a kick-ass clan. So i didnt rank all the way up and i never unlocked all the stuff i wanted, and to think this was out before COD4 so i know i had invested alot of time in MP.
No way I'm in either. I played the crap out of Warhawk in 2007 and ranked up but probably haven't picked it up in two years. Really looking forward to Starhawk. The stuff they showed off at E3 was impressive and it looked really innovative with the RTS elements.
