It feels like the 1990s sometimes, doesn't it? With two Street Fighter games on the way and King of Fighters XII, I can't help but remember the days when fighting games were the crown jewel of the game industry. Now, it's first-person shooters and free-roam action titles. In any case, for you SNK fans arrives an all new compilation: Fatal Fury: Battle Archives Vol. 2 for the PS2.
This archives collection feature three Fatal Fury games on one disc, and they are: "Real Bout Fatal Fury", "Real Fatal Fury Special", "Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers". The importance behind this collection is that this is the first time ever that these three titles arrive to American gamers. Real Bout FF was ported to the Sega Saturn in Japan, and PSOne in Europe. Real Bout FF Special was only ported to the Saturn in Japan. And The Newcomers has, until today, been available only on the Neo-Geo.
"The Fatal Fury series has always been an SNK fan favorite and now with Battle Archives Vol. 2 we can bring the story full circle" said Ben Herman, President of SNK PLAYMORE USA CORPORATION. "This collection provides both classic gamers and a whole new generation of gamers with the greatness that is Fatal Fury."
The sidestepping, two-dimensional, dual-plane action that is this Archive collection should be available in a store near you tomorrow.
