Midway Brings Adult Swim Toon To PS2

When Adult Swim cartoons get turned into a video game, we start to worry. Seriously, there's some truly bizarre stuff on that channel…but then again, why wouldn't "bizarre" make for a good game? Midway has adopted that philosophy, as they've announced they will bring Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am to the PS2 this fall. Yes, that's really the title.

"Aqua Teen Hunger Force is a unique and completely hilarious property," said Steve Allison, chief marketing officer, Midway. "We are working closely with Aqua Teen creators Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis to bring the tone of the TV show and movie into a video game."

Oh, it's hilarious, all right. But what does Midway plan to do with this one? Are we thinking about an Aqua Teen Force RPG? Nah, they've got another name for it: an "action/adventure combat gold cart racing game." Erm…okay. Check out the last quote below:

"We are thrilled to be bringing the hilarious antics of Adult Swim's Aqua Teen Hunger Force to a one of kind gaming experience," said Christina Miller, VP of Consumer Products for Cartoon Network Enterprises, the network's global merchandising division. "This game will set a new standard for crime-fighting, golf-obsessed, food battles."

"Crime-fighting, golf-obsessed, food battles?" Sorry, but if you're not laughing right now, you don't have a sense of humor. The game will tell the story of Frylock, Meatwad, and Master Shake, and you know what? That, the title, and the aforementioned description is all you need to know. This one's gonna be freakin' funny .
