Aaron ThomasHot on the heels of the exclusive deal they inked with the NFL, EA made a similar offer to the NBA, only to see that deal rejected, IGN.com is reporting.
The unnamed source cites the fact that the NBA Live franchise doesn't have the same stranglehold over the market that Madden does, as a reason for the deal not happening.
Obviously this is unconfirmed, and the whole truth may never come out, but it's good news for anyone worrying about an impending EA monopoly.
