Final Fantasy Concert in Chicago

Do you live in Illinois, or nearby, and like the music from Final Fantasy games? Then have we got news for you.

Square-Enix plans to kick off a Final Fantasy symphony concert series at the Rosemont Theatre in Rosemont, IL on February 19, 2005. The program for the concert was produced by famed series composer Nobuo Uematsu and will be performed by the Chicagoland Pops and CPO Festival choir.

Unlike a traditional symphony performance, the concert will include graphical displays meant to tie memorable moments from the video games to the music being performed.

"After the fantastic support received at the first concert in Los Angeles, I am thrilled and honored to extend the experience to Chicago," said series composer Nobuo Uematsu. "I'm looking forward to sharing the moments with those who love the music and games of Final Fantasy."

Tickets for the event are available at the Rosemont Theatre box office (847) 671-5100 or from Ticketmaster.

This is the first stop in a planned North American tour, information for which will be released later.
