Nike Gran Turismo 4 Bundle

(Updated 11/18)

We normally don't like to tease our readers with too much in the way of Japan-specific info, especially when the product in question is limited to 1,000 units, but sometimes, you gotta just gush over something when it's so awesomely unique.

Sony and Nike have announced that a special edition Gran Turismo 4 bundle will be released when the game ships in Japan on December 28th.

Called the Nike / Gran Turismo Limited Edition, here is what the bundle includes:

As an added perk, each carrying case will have a license plate attached that will display the serial # of that particular set (e.g. 68/1,000), personally autographed by Polyphony Digital president and Gran Turismo creator, Kazunori Yamanouchi.

Furthermore, if you have an EyeToy camera, you can hold the t-shirt up to it and immediately unlock the Nike One prototype car that's contained in the game, which normally takes quite a bit of playing to unlock.

Now here's the "bad" news. The bundle is limited to 1,000 units, can only be pre-ordered at Sony's Japanese online shop, and will retail for 33,600 yen–approximately $300. Also, shoe sizes are limited to US sizes 8, 9, 10, and 11.

Pre-orders don't begin until December 10th at noon (Tokyo time). If you happen to be versed in the Japanese language and can get them to ship it to you, you can visit Sony's pre-order page by clicking the link below.
