Eidos has shipped Get On Da Mic for the PlayStation 2, and it will arrive in stores this week.
The game allows players to rap along to a soundtrack of 40 tracks from hip hop/rap artists like Sir-Mix-Alot, Dr. Dre, Tupac and Kanye West. The game features a single-player story mode, where players choose from one of six characters, and also a two-player battle mode, so gamers can make like Eminem in 8 Mile. Players will also be able to see themselves on-screen if they have an EyeToy.
Developed by Artificial Mind and Movement and Highway 1 Productions, Get On Da Mic is rated "T" (Teen) and can be purchased for $59.99 in a bundle that includes a Logitech microphone, or for $39.99 as a standalone title. Consumers will still need a USB microphone if they choose the standalone version.
