Super Monkey Ball Deluxe Announced

All the people that missed out on Sega's awesome Monkey Ball series are in luck as Sega has announced that they will be releasing Super Monkey Ball Deluxe for both the PS2 and the Xbox. The new title will feature 300 stages (114 from Super Monkey Ball, 140 from Super Monkey Ball 2, and 46 Deluxe-exclusive boards), and will be available in early 2005.

In addition to new stages, Super Monkey Ball Deluxe will offer a new Challenge mode, integrating varying skill settings (Beginner, Advanced, and Expert) into one fluid ramp up, rather than breaking them out as independent gameplay sections. There will also be additional stages in the story mode. All twelve of the party games from Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 are also to be included.

"Super Monkey Ball has been a fan favorite since its introduction on the Nintendo GameCube in 2001," said Scott A. Steinberg, vice president of entertainment marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. "We're pleased to finally make this unique, broadly accessible franchise available to gamers across all platforms."

Effectively two-and-a-half retail games on one disc, this "E" rated value-packed product will retail in early 2005 for only 29.95 MSRP.
