Aaron ThomasMidway announced today that their fantasy role-playing game, Shadow Hearts: Covenant, has gone gold. Scheduled to ship on September 27th for the PlayStation 2, Shadow Hearts: Covenant is the sequel to the original Shadow Hearts that debuted in 2001.
The adventure will fill two DVDs and will deliver over 40 hours of gameplay. There's an improved Judgment Ring that allows players to choose which characters to bring to battle and features new team-based combo attacks and defensive formations. Also featured in Covenant is a new magic system where players must build skill sets, strategize gameplay moves, earn and cast spells with a team of complex characters, based on distinct personalities, attributes and magical abilities.
