ESPN Videogames has let slip that their hockey title, ESPN NHL 2K5, has gone gold and will be available on store shelves for Xbox and PlayStation 2 on the crazy early date of September 1.

The game features "revamped gameplay," a Party Mode, a Dream Team Mode, a Heritage Classic Mode, "create-a-team" logos, NHL trivia, shuffleboard, air hockey, over 150 unlockables and more. Rated "E" (Everyone), ESPN NHL 2K5 retails for the budget price of $19.99.
