Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) is back again as a sponsor for the Ozzfest 2004 summer tour, which features newly reunited bands Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. SCEA will run a radio promotion in 20 of the tour’s 26 stops, giving ten winners in each market a PlayStation prize pack, which includes a PlayStation 2, an Ozzfest tour jacket, tickets to Ozzfest and the games Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain and Siren. Each winner will also get to watch the concert from the PlayStation 2 Metal Sanctuary, a “VIP viewing area.”
The PlayStation 2 will also take center stage in the festival’s Village of the Damned, where the PlayStation 2 Touring Attraction will be set up, allowing concertgoers to try out the latest videogames. SCEA is running a sweepstakes on its website as well, which will fly one eventual winner to Chicago for a day at Ozzfest.
The tour kicks off on July 10 in Hartford, Connecticut. Other bands in the lineup include Slayer, Slipknot, Hatebreed, Superjoint Ritual and Zakk Wylde's
Black Label Society.
