News service Reuters is reporting that a videogame programmer for Vivendi Universal Games has filed suit against the company alleging that he and other co-workers were forced to work overtime, but were not compensated for their extra hours.
The suit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday by Neil Aitken, an application programmer who has been with VU Games since 2000, and seeks back payment of overtime wages as well as other unspecified damages.
Aitken claimed that “VU Games managers have instructed NonexemptProgrammers to enter 8 hours for each workday regardless of the actual number of hours worked by an employee.”
