Chris-FaylorIn a stockholder presentation earlier this year, Eidos revealed they were working on a tactical shooter set in the Commandos universe. Today Eidos' website was briefly updated with details on the title in development by Pyro Studios.
Titled Commandos Strike Force, it appears that three is the magic number, as players can assume three different characters, a Green Beret, a sniper, or a spy, in three campaigns, traveling through Norway, Russia, and France. In classic Commandos style, the game is said to give players the opportunity to act as they see fit. In other words, there are multiple ways to tackle each mission. You'll also be able to utilize timed explosives and use knives for stealth kills either offline or against 7 opponents online.
In an odd note, this information was removed from the Eidos website a short time later. Check back later for an official announcement, and possibly a targeted release date.
