Chris-FaylorAt the Cannes Film Festival, Sony Picture announced that a film based off The Getaway is in development. While no other details were announced, The Hollywood Reporter had previously reported that a Getaway film was planned to accompany the launch of the next Getaway game. Since then, the sequel, officially titled The Getaway: Black Monday, has been unveiled, slated for a Q4 2004 release.
With its cinematic flair, The Getaway looks to make a nice transition from video game to movie. As always, we'll keep you updated once we know more.
