Sony announced on Tuesday that the original PlayStation, redubbed PSOne in 2000, has now sold over 100 million units worldwide. The original NES, on the other hand, sold a measely 62 million units – and everyone you knew had one of those. This doesn't even take into account the fact that PlayStation 2 is backwards compatible. If one did, you'd end up with over 160 million units capable of playing PSOne titles in the world. For the record, Sony claims that there have been over 7,300 of those PSOne games have been published.
