Transformers Goes Gold

Atari today announced that the highly anticipated Transformers game has gone gold. A PlayStation 2 exclusive, Transformers allows players to control Optimus Prime, Hot Shot, or Red Alert as the Autobots fight against the evil Decepticons. With development by Atari's Melbourne House, the fast-paced third person shooter features, "countless enemies, immense battles, and intense boss fights." The battles rage over eight environments, ranging from Earth to the Autobot's home world Cybertron.

Transformers is currently scheduled for a worldwide release on May 11th.
