Chris-FaylorElectronic Arts today announced that Larry Fitzgerald, wide receiver for the University of Pittsburgh's Panthers, will be featured on the cover of NCAA Football 2005. His previous awards include the Walter Camp Player of the Year, the Biletnikoff Award, and All-American.
"It's a huge honor to represent NCAA Football 2005, since this is the game my teammates and I always competed on in the dorms," said Fitzgerald. "To grace the cover of the most intense and exciting college football video game is a dream come true for me."
It's worth pointing out that athletes featured on the covers of EA games have a tendency to encounter bouts of bad luck, such as debilitating car crashes or career-ending injuries. Here's hoping the EA curse gently passes over Fitzgerald.
