Christopher D. AndersonThere are few games that are more anticipated than The Last of Us II. While there have been some interesting trailers and a few tidbits of news here and there, the fabled release date has yet to see the light of day. At least until now if sources can be believed. A Peruvian gaming site called Law Gamers put up a placeholder poster of The Last of Us II that certainly seems to point towards an October release date of this year.

Of course, this is still considered a rumor as it could very well just be a placeholder so keep that in mind. But with Sony having meetings lately and rumblings of PS5 coming soon, it wouldn’t be all that surprising if we did get to play this game in the fall. It has been in the works since 2014 (announced in 2016) so the timing seems right.
As per usual, neither Sony or Naughty Dog have confirmed or denied it.

It makes sense, the date that is. I would hope that ND and Sony would jump out quick with a denial so as not to infuriate people.
