Destroy All Humans! … Again!

After the unexpected success of the first Destroy All Humans!, it was only a matter of time before a sequel was announced. Today, we received word from THQ that, indeed, a sequel is on the way and will ship later this fall.

Destroy All Humans! 2 is being developed at Pandemic Studios, the same house responsible for the first game, and will once again put players into the role of Crypto 137, a Furon lifeform bent on eradicating the human race.

"Destroy All Humans! 2 builds upon everything people loved about the first game," said Kelly Flock, executive VP of Worldwide Publishing for THQ. "It adds tons of new features and gives fans of the original and newcomers something to get excited about later this year."

When asked to elaborate on the game's new features, Pandemic President Josh Resnick was quick to mention details such as "multiplayer co-op" and "five new open-worlds to explore." Further, he added that players can expect to find the same irreverent humor that was a hallmark of the first game. "With the 60s era setting, we have plenty of new material to work with — from Hippies and British spy movies to Japanese monster flicks."
