Kingdom Hearts II Selling Well

If you're anything like us, you've lost countless hours of sleep wondering just how well Kingdom Hearts II is performing at retail. Thank goodness Square Enix feel like bragging, because they just announced that in North America, 1.3 million units have been shipped to North American retailers since its March 28 ship date last week. Finally, we can rest easy.

The Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts II was released on December 22, 2005 and shipped one million units within the first three days. Three months since its release, it has shipped a total of 1.2 million units. Combining this with the North American release, the title has shipped over 2.5 million units in Japan and North America.

With just two games in the series, it has already sold an impressive 8.5 million copies and will no doubt break the 10 million copy barrier soon.
