Dave Perry Retires from Shiny

Amidst Atari's financial woes, Shiny founder David Perry has put himself out on the streets, attempting to find a new buyer for the company. Atari announced last week that it would be slicing 20% of its workforce and cutting the apron strings on all of its internal development studios.

Perry claims there is already plenty of interest amongst potential buyers and hopes to sell the company for a more-than-reasonable amount of money. Atari bought Shiny from interplay four years ago for about $47 million.

Shiny is known for classic games such as Earthworm Jim and MDK, but have suffered recently due to the poor reception of more mainstream titles such as Enter the Matrix.
