Ubisoft to Publish Heroes of the Pacific

Is nothing sacred anymore? A game based on World War II, called Heroes of the
Pacific is being published by Ubisoft. Oh, wait, everyone has already made a
game about WWII – scratch that first comment. Anyway, Heroes of the Pacific is a
World War II aerial combat-action game developed by IR Gurus of Australia, and
will be available September 28, 2005, for the PS2 and Xbox. The PC version will
be out in October 2005.

"Ubisoft is pleased to bring gamers the intense dogfighting experience of
Heroes of the Pacific," said James Regan, director of new business development
at Ubisoft. "The realistic and historical environments recreated in this game
will launch players into the action-packed skies of the Pacific as if they were
part of history themselves."

Heroes of the Pacific begins on December 7, 1941, with the attack on Pearl
Harbor and lets the player participate in the most memorable battles of the
Pacific campaign including Wake Island, Midway and the Coral Sea. The game
features six different play modes and more than 35 upgradeable WWII aircraft, a
compelling story through the war, and arcade and professional controls, as well
as a workshop to customize the plane's weapons and plane setup.

According to the press release, the game will feature the following:

Heroes of the Pacific carries an ESRB rating of "T" (Teen) for strong
