Spyro: A Hero’s Tail Announced

Vivendi Universe today announced Spyro: A Hero's Tail, the latest entry in their purple dragon franchise. Returning once again to the Dragon Realm, players must defeat the Evil Red Dragon before he gains control over all of the Realms. Thankfully, Spryo is more than willing to oblige, and sets out with four of his friends to stop the Evil Red Dragon. Those friends include Hunter the Cheetah, Sgt. Byrd, Spar the Dragonfly, and Blink the Mole. Each friend will be playable at certain points throughout the game.

Spyro himself receives several new moves, breath attacks, and powerups. The wall kick, tail swing, and ledge grab give Spyro the edge he needs to make it through the new levels. He'll also have his trademark flame, freeze, electric, and water breath attacks in case he runs into trouble.

Surprisingly, the script for Spyro: A Hero's Tail is being handled by J. Stewart Burns, of

fame.

Currently set for a fall release, Spyro: A Hero's Tail is in development by Eurocom Entertainment.
