The PSP had plenty of titles for the role-playing fanatics, and we ardently hope the PlayStation Vita will follow suit.
Well, here's a good way to start the Vita generation for strategy/RPG fans: as revealed at the PlayStation Blog , Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention will be released in April for Sony's new portable.
It's a port of the PS3 version but it will have plenty of new features, including "new character stories, new systems, new attack levels, new bosses," and all the DLC available for the PS3 title. Plus, we'll get Vita-specific systems such as the "Honor Quotient," which uses the Vita's GPS to track how far you've traveled while playing the game. The better your Honor Quotient, the more experience you'll gain, so don't forget your Vita when going on that trip!
There's a great new trailer at the Blog, too, so make sure to check it out. Disgaea has always been a staple in the niche strategy/RPG genre and the Final Fantasy Tactics lover in me always gravitates towards such games (even if I don't really have the time anymore). For more info, visit the Absence of Detention website .

Very clever. I hope more Vita games will also take advantage of the Vita's portability in similar ways.
Yeah, very cool idea. Great!
Yo! what's the Vita's version of the UMD?
Cartridges. Kinda like the DS but much bigger in capacity. Uses less powa and faster at loading than umd.
