Get Caught Cheating In Siege, Suffer A Temporary Suspension

Ubisoft continues to try to thwart Rainbow Six Siege cheaters at every turn.

A few weeks ago, the developers said they'd try to clamp down on cheaters that ruined the multiplayer experience; a new patch should've gone a long way to fixing the problem.

Now, the team has posted an update in the Ubisoft forums , saying they've made changes to the game's algorithms and anyone identified as a cheater will be tossed from a match. And that's not the end of the punishment:

"In order to increase our efforts to counter cheating in Rainbow Six Siege, we will be expanding our criteria to identify potential cheaters. If identified as a potential cheater, that player will be immediately removed from the game and receive a temporary suspension."

This, in addition to the patch that helped erase various exploits and spawn-killing, should make the game that much more entertaining for those who wish to play fair. As for the cheaters, we have zero sympathy. If the only way you can win is by cheating, then you're just admitting you suck at playing the game and no, nobody is impressed with your cheating skills. At least, we hope nobody is.
