Well, I didn't see this one coming.
A trio of Resident Evil games is on its way to modern consoles. Capcom has announced today that Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 5, and Resident Evil 4 are coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One throughout the year as digital downloads. Resident Evil 6 will be re-released first on March 29, and will also include all the additional post-launch content from the original version. It will be followed by Resident Evil 5, which hits PS4 and Xbox One this summer. Resident Evil 4 is scheduled for release this fall. The series has sold over 66 million copies, making it one of Capcom’s most important franchises.
The three games will be released digitally for $19.99 /€19.99 / £15.99 each. Capcom said it plans to release physical versions of the PS4 and Xbox One ports in the Americas. It seems like Capcom is busy re-releasing their older Resident Evil games with Resident Evil Origins Collection (Resident Evil 0 and the original Resident Evil) been released last January for PS4 and Capcom is currently developing the remake of Resident Evil 2.
This is good news for PS4 owners who haven't played Resident Evil 4-6 yet. I already have my copies of those games on my PS3 and I think I'm not interested on buying them again on my PS4, especially that they are just ported games and not remastered versions. Now, I just want Capcom to announce that Resident Evil 7 will be released this year and I'll be happy.

since it will be just a ported game, chances are it will still retain the trophy list from the previous version so meaning there will still be no platinum for the PS4 version of RE4. But if they put a platinum for it, I might buy it. We'll see.
This is a perfect chance to finally play RE4,and I will definitely get RE5 which I though was the best coop game of last gen.For me 6 was the worst game I have ever played, I would rather play E.T. and Rogue Warrior back 2 back although it did come in handy at night when I needed help falling asleep.
oh man, you no play 4? Set aside some time around midnight and remember that (unless they changed it) you've got to get to save points. Some are far, so it's true survival and the tension just keeps ratcheting up.
Konami need to do this with Silent Hill dammit!
YES. AND ADD Y-inversion functionality to Homecoming.
Nah,i'm not holding my breath for Resident evil 7,didn't like 5 and 6 at all.
Now if the remake of Resident Evil 2 comes with real survival horror and not an action game in an horror setting AND release it this year[or next year]THAT would be great!
If this happens then i'm only waiting for a new legacy of Kain [soulreaver] game and Half Life 3.

Hey, I skipped a second run on RE4 on PS3 but maybe now for PS4 I'll ill get it on a flash sale. Bet it'll look beautiful. 5 and 6 can eat my boxer briefs.

I'd buy that definitely.
Oh, and I'm still pissed about SFV Capcom.
or… if you have a PS3 you can buy them used for a lot less.
I'd buy this, but on disc, I heard the US will be getting a Physical Edition in fall (When RE4 is released I suppose). I am a little worried though as Megaman Collection recently got a US release on disc and we got noubt…
I'd buy it for RE5 & RE6… Really for onlibne Co-op experiences. 5 isn't bad to play on PS3 But 6's menus are so off putting and it's just a real pain to organise co-op. So with faster menus and the PS4's interface beign more accessible, they're actually quite appealing.
I was playing RE4 HD on the PS3 not long ago and still amazed how good it is, still trumps most games today imo.
I will not be getting these again though as i already have them.
Seriously? Just a port? I'll pass. Played RE4/5 many times, have no interest in RE6.
