Battalion 1944 Hits Its Kickstarter Funding Goal In Just 2 Days

Well, that was fast. Guess the soul of the classic World War II shooter lives on in lots of gamers!

Just a few days ago, we brought you the news of a fresh Kickstarter project for Battalion 1944 , a WWII-themed FPS in development at Bulkhead Interactive.

Now, as you can see by visiting the game's Kickstarter page , Battalion 1944 has reached its funding goal of £100,000 in just 48 hours. At the time of this posting, over 3,600 backers had donated over $150k, so things are definitely rolling forward at full speed. Bulkhead hasn't announced the Stretch goals just yet but expect them soon; the team said they'd release those goals when the funding goal was met, and that's done.

Also, don't forget the studio invested £100,000 of its own money to get this project off the ground. You'll see the end result in May 2017 (a tentative date, we're sure) and if you'd like to donate, feel free. £13 will ensure you snag a copy of the game when it comes out. Below, you will find a five-minute announcement trailer; just bear in mind that you're looking at a "pre-alpha build."

Makes sense. Not everyone enjoys the exosuit jumpy-jumpy shooters. I'd like a WW2 throw back game, too.
