Doom Dated With Collector’s Edition And Bloody New Trailer

For many, it's one of the most anticipated shooters ever .

id Software has been toiling away on this reboot for a while now but thankfully, the wait is almost over: Bethesda has announced that Doom will launch on May 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

If you pre-order, you'll receive the Demon Multiplayer Pack, which offers a unique demon armor set with three skin variations, six metallic paint colors, six Hack Modules, and three id Software logo patterns you can freely apply to weapons and armor. You'll get this bonus if you pre-order either the standard or Collector's Edition.

Speaking of which, if you're super stoked, you might want to spring for that limited Collector's Edition (pictured here). Created in collaboration with TriForce, it features an exclusive, fully-realized 12" tall collector's statue of the Revenant demon, which stands on an LED-lit base and boasts an internal, slow-spinning turbine from the UAC facility on Mars. Plus, the game itself comes packaged in an exclusive, "battle-worthy" metal case.

The Collector's Edition will retail for $119.99 in the U.S., €129.99 in Europe, and £99.99 in the UK. I've said before Doom might be the only FPS I want in 2016 and there's a darn good reason. Previously, the developers shared their influences for this project, which only made it sound that much cooler.

Oh, and here's the new campaign trailer Bethesda released today…be forewarned, it's awfully bloody.
