It takes a while to get a game just right.
Developer Massive Entertainment has been toiling away on the highly anticipated tactical multiplayer shooter, Tom Clancy's The Division , but despite the lengthy design cycle, gamers shouldn't be worried.
Quite the contrary, actually. In a recent Examiner interview , creative director Magnus Jansén says that given the ambition and scope of the project, it's no surprise that they've had to really work:
"…I’m very proud of where we are. I do believe that we did get it very right. Considering the multiple firsts that we’re sort of doing with all of that, I think it has been fairly quick. I’m very happy with where we ended up and with the pace in which we got there, considering the design and technical innovations that were done."
The Division features a hefty amount of depth along with both multiplayer and narrative elements, so there's a little something for every type of gamer. If you're unconvinced, you can always try to get into the closed beta , which kicks off on January 29. Ubisoft is going to support the hell out of this game, too, as they just revealed a very slick live-action prequel series .
The game in question will be finally ready to roll on March 8 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Looking forward to it!
I so wanted this game to have an SP mode, damned it!
FYI…..
For some Division FREE GEAR(a Paramedic outfit & gun, Police outfit & gun, Firefighter & gun, & Hunter & gun), I put the link to these Division freebies in yesterday's Division thread
Hmmm, I wanted this game last year, I was utterly pumped for it, but with delays and delays its just sort of faded. That I bought into Evolve to where to community disbanded it… I still don't see why, I thought Turtle Rock were generous – At least when you didn't buy the DLC you werent shunned from the games, you could fight against a DLC monster which kept you involved. So I'm not really optimistic on online games these days… other than Rocket League 😛
I frankly don't care if the devs are happy with where their game is at. That doesn't mean much to me. Especially after reading that they aren't putting features yet like trading because it won't make it in time for launch. Game seems to feel like destiny to me with a different setting. Destiny devs were probably happy about their game back then, but I was completely disappointed when they released that incomplete game. They don't have time to tell me why they don't have time to tell me what's going on huh.
To be fair though. The division probably told us about the game world than destiny did with the initial game.

I'm with ya. I mentioned the other day Destiny has not gave me confidence in online open world games. I'm not in the up and up with this game and I'm sad to hear there will be no trading at launch. That seems very odd for a game like this.
Maybe the term trading is used differently in this context buy I'm thinking of trading with other players in game. Or even to the effect of dropping items and someone else picking them up.
But I am rather excited for this game. I'm hoping it gives me what Destiny did not.
What dev is ever going to say, yeah we aren't happy with our game its due out in a month….but please buy it.
I've learned not to trust Devs and Publishers who toot their own horn. Be proud of your "product" all you want but I need to see it to believe it.
Agreed.
Seriously…not good for business what so ever!!!
