Last generation, it was Uncharted . It was the IP that put PlayStation back on the map and allowed PS3 to become a more sought-after system early on.
This generation, we all can't wait for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End , of course, and we can expect Gran Turismo Sport in 2016, as well as a new God of War (with or without Kratos). Then there's the possibility of seeing The Last Guardian and Quantic Dream's Detroit but although both could be absolutely masterful, I think both are one-and-dones. Quantic doesn't do sequels and the chances of seeing a follow-up to Guardian is basically zilch.
So, the one IP that has franchise potential is Horizon and if developer Guerrilla does the first game correctly, and it hits big during the holiday season, this could be a gigantic new series for the PlayStation brand. I think what's most intriguing is that it's a third-person open-world game, and most such titles are multiplatform. We have inFamous , of course, but that's a very different experience and Horizon has lots of unique elements to it. I do hope gamers are giving this one its just due in terms of hype…it freakin' deserves it.
Related Game(s): Horizon: Zero Dawn

PS: I would love to see a (sort of) new "mascot" character for the PS brand. A female no less! <3
Please have a decent story. That's all I'm worried about
Same here! The killzone games at best conveyed decent storytelling; if Horizon nails this aspect, everything to me will be gravy.
Exactly!!! GG knows gameplay, not story. Hopefully their world feels alive and not a "make your own fun"/"clear this zone" type of ordeal
yeh was thinking the same, the kz stories were ok but could have been alot better.
I watched the gameplay demo and I'm already convinced it gonna be at least an 8.0, now if they nail some likable characters and a good plot it could be a great exclusive.
