A few days ago, a group of PlayStation developers named their favorite 2015 gaming moments .
Now, the group is back on the PlayStation Blog with their most anticipated titles of 2016.
As you might expect, the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive Uncharted 4: A Thief's End gets a lot of mentions, but there's actually quite an eclectic selection. For example, guys like Developer Shahid Ahmad and Roll7 co-founder Simon Bennett can't wait for No Man's Sky , while Dark Souls III and The Last Guardian get mentions as well. Several people, including SCE Japan Studio Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa and Media Molecule QA Technician Alex Perry are highly anticipating the creative exclusive revealed at E3 2015, Dreams .
And of course, there's some love for PlayStation VR, courtesy of SCE London Studio Executive Producer Brynley Gibson:
"What I’m looking forward to most in 2016 has got to be the release of PlayStation VR! I may be developing for it but I want one at home. 2016 is the year of VR. It’s the start of a journey that is going to change the landscape of gaming forever. There are already a great selection of titles announced and I can’t wait to play all these new experiences."
What games top your hype list for 2016?
No Man's Sky is the most over hyped indie title of all time.

I'm all for the hype surrounding it. For whatever reason some of these games that have been made by small teams have been alot better then games made by massive teams, examples would be Dungeon Defenders, Don't Starve and hopefully No Mans Sky.
I lost a lot of interest as soon as I heard "procedurally generated" worlds. Where no two worlds are ever the same! To me that's code for boring game set on auto pilot.

Unfortunately if a dev wants to make a real open-world then a procedurally generated one is the only way, especially on the scale of the Universe. The nice thing is devs have come a long way with that tool. I doubt it is gonna be like the .Hack series where every dungeon was almost the exact same. Atleast from what i've read there is going to be much larger variables involved and its suppose to used on lifeforms as well, which to me if done right will ensure that there is not too much of any one thing.
Eitherway i'm hopeful for the game as well as the mechanic and hope it can be the start of a whole surge in space survival games.

Could be fun if you are up for a content-less playing session.
From what I've seen so far – which isn't much based on what they've shown. It looks pretty empty. I'm not sure more is better in this regard. I'm under the impression that they wanted to make this about travel and variety more than gameplay and experience.
I'm not buying into it just yet.
My most played titles of 2016 will be
1. Dark Souls 3
2. The Last Guardian
3. Persona 5
4. Star Ocean
5. Uncharted 4
6. (Empty Space)

Gonna plug this "all dude bro trip" into your empty space?
Nothing I want is really definite to come this year like Persona, Star Ocean, FFVII, Horizon, but hell I got a ton of games.
Not sure if I can jump into VR on day 1.
For the price… I cant. I understand it was probably expensive to produce. But I can't spend more for a peripheral than the console I need to have to make it work.

Yeah, I won't be able to buy it right away either, unless someone turns it in to GameStop or eBay & I can get it used for a decent price.
Otherwise a new one better be priced right on some site's super-sale.
BTW,
"HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL"
Yeah happy new year and good health to all!
