Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection features the first three installments in the acclaimed franchise.
But many are wondering why it doesn't also boast the PlayStation Vita effort, Uncharted: Golden Abyss . Is it because it was developed by SCE Bend and not Naughty Dog themselves? No.
Speaking during the EGX convention in Europe, Naughty Dog community strategist Arne Meyer said the team definitely considered putting Golden Abyss into the compilation, but they didn't think it was necessary for the following reason (as cited by Power Up Gaming ):
"We realized that those three games–the trilogy–actually provided a particular narrative arc that led into Uncharted 4. We wanted to keep that as a holistic collection for that reason, and Golden Abyss kind of lives a little bit outside of that."
That sounds logical. The collection in question launches on October 8 exclusively for PlayStation 4, and it was just revealed that you'll need over 44GB of free HDD space to install it. As a preview, check out more than eleven great gameplay minutes .
And don't forget that snagging Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection also gets you into the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End multiplayer beta, which kicks off in December.

They should've put it in anyway but seeing that they were already willing to ask for $60 for 3 games they likely weren't about to include the Vita version and ask for $70 at any point in time

It wouldn't surprise me to see a standalone remaster of it for sale. Sony sure loves to charge multiple times for the same game.
oh yeah cesar, it'll show up soon on PSN for PS4 for $20.
I call BS! and a bad decision as well.
If the vita game was in it I would be more incline to pick it up, as it is it has no appeal to me.
I have a feeling they lost quiet a few buyers amongst players who have already played the games.
That's a bigger ball of crap than the excuse that I don't clean up much because things will just get messy again.
My guess is polishing up the Vita game would take extra work and so Sony will wait until they can sell it solo for a much higher markup than including it in the collection.
Another remaster that likely won't get my money. No MP and no golden abyss..no reason for me to buy unless I get the urge to play UC2 and see what it looks like
I would have forgiven them for including a game that seems a hair out of step with the trilogy.
