PS2 Game Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Coming To PS4 On July 18

A blast from the past eh? Just as we're getting excited for Detroit: Become Human.

Instead of being about Detroit: Become Human, Quantic Dream’s surprise yesterday had to do with Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy, which is coming to PlayStation 4 worldwide on July 18.

The game will sell for $15. While the studio initially stated that the re-release will be a "1080p remaster" , it later clarified that the game is actually part of the PS2 Classics range , suggesting it'll receive the same treatment as previous PS2 games launching on the service.

Here is the art that the developer released for the game:

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy was released on PS2, Xbox and PC back in 2005, and is perhaps best known for its opening diner sequence. The game puts players in control of multiple characters investigating supernatural forces possessing people to kill. This ported version of Fahrenheit launched last year on PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices.

Earlier this week at E3, Quantic Dream has shown to us a new trailer for Detroit: Become Human , a game about robots with feelings. I have never played the PS2 version of Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy before, as I was not aware that the game exists back then. But since this is a Quantic Dream game, I'll definitely be getting the PS4 version of Fahrenheit when it comes out on July 18. How about you guys? Will you be getting Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy on PS4?

Oh man, they should have updated it. And maybe gone back to fill in the blank spots that happen later in the game story. It was definitely the stepping stone between normal gaming and the likes of Heavy Rain.

'Omikron' was actually my first Quantic Dream game, but 'Fahrenheit' was the one that made me a fan. Really looking forward to replaying it.

Not sure why they would port the PS2 version instead of just using or even better updating the PC-version that must be a lot better looking version and obviously run in higher resolutions..

Really great game though!

Let's hope they use the actual original Fahrenheit game, cause they watered down the Indigo Prophecy version, toning it down on the North American discs
