My Top 5 Announcements That I Expect From Sony For This Year’s E3

Last year's E3, was one of the best E3's from Sony in the last couple of years. Sony announced at E3 last year some great games like Final Fantasy VII remake, a new Shenmue game, and Horizon: Zero Dawn. This year's E3 will be a big one for Sony, as they're expected to announce some new games, and especially reveal a new hardware (PS4 Neo). So I've listed my top 5 announcements that I expect Sony would reveal on their E3 presentation this year.

5.  Sony will finally reveal the release date for The Last Guardian.

After last year's big reveal that The Last Guardian is in fact still a thing and is coming out this year, Sony will kick off E3 2016 with a proper gameplay demo. We've heard from Fumito Ueda, the designer and mind behind The Last Guardian, that the game will definitely release this year so I expect that Sony will finally announce to us the final release date of the game.

4.  Sony will give us a live demo for PlayStation VR

Last March, Sony has announced the date and price for their PlayStation VR. They've also opened the pre-orders for their VR headset last March 22. I expect that Sony will give us a live demo on how the PS VR plays with the PS4, and they'll also give us a glimpse on the games that will launch alongside with the PS VR.

3.  Naughty Dog will unveil an Uncharted 4 DLC and The Last of Us 2

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is already out and the game received universal acclaim, with a lot of perfect scores from different reviews. So I expect Sony is going to show us a trailer for the Uncharted 4 single-player DLC, a meaty expansion that is probably about five hours in length. Following this, I expect that they'll roll straight into an early and brief teaser for The Last of Us 2. It's more of a mood piece than anything substantial.

2.  Santa Monica Studio will give us the first trailer for God of War 4

Last generation, the PS3 was well known for its amazing game franchises like Uncharted, God of War, Gran Turismo, Killzone, and Infamous. This gen's PS4, we have already seen sequel games from Uncharted, Killzone, and Infamous; and the next iteration for Gran Turismo is coming this November. So far, we haven't heard anything about the next God of War game. So I expect that Sony's Santa Monica Studio will finally step up on this year's E3 and announce to us God of War 4, and they'll give us the first trailer of the game.  The question is, will Kratos return as the protagonist for God of War 4? And what will be the new setting of the game?

1.  Sony will unveil PlayStation Neo

The highlight of Sony's conference will surely be the unveiling of the PlayStation 4 Neo. We heard back last April that the upgraded PS4 that Sony is working on was codenamed Neo . We haven't heard what the final name of the system is, but every game shown from this point on will have visual improvements when running on it. So I expect that Sony will give us the full details and specs for PS4 Neo on this year's E3, and probably they would give us a tentative date on when they're going to release it.
