Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force Arrives On PS4 This Summer

The summer slate is predictably a little bare but if you're a JRPG fan, you're good to go.

Not only will you get Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness on June 28 , but you'll also receive another entry in the great Fairy Fencer F franchise.

Idea Factory has announced that Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force will land on North American store shelves on July 26, and in European stores on July 29. The game will be available in both digital and physical formats, if you're wondering.

Join our hero, Fang, and a colorful party of fellow Fencers in the team's quest to revive the Goddess or the Vile God. You can bring up to six characters onto the battlefield and per the press release, here are some gameplay features:

Three Stories, Three Paths! In the three stories to play – the Goddess story, the Vile God story, and the Evil Goddess story – friends become foes, foes become friends, and, based on your choices, multiple endings can be unlocked!

Three Ways to Fight and Fairize! Play in Easy, Normal, or Hard mode and switch the difficulty up whenever you want to balance the game to your playstyle!

Three’s a Crowd, Six is a Party! With up to six party members on the battlefield at a time, you can play as all your favorite Fencers!

Shape the World Around You! Customize weapons by fusing them with fairies and change dungeons stats through world-shaping. Even power up Fencers through the fairies’ power to Fairy transform, or fairize, during battle and change your world!

Lastly, here's the full opening North American movie:

Woah, I was gonna do a Japanese spotlight on this cuz I figure nobody knew but hey I'm busy as f*ck anyway so thanks Ben.

Yup Fairy Fencer F was good. I'm pretty sure I did the actual review here, lemme go check:

There ya go. I didn't finish Playing though due to other stuff, but now that going to the PS3 feels archaic I think I'll get this as a birthday present and see it through, new and improved. Great characters, (Fang is kinda stupid but the dumb b*tch who loves/gets turned on by being called a stupid b*tch = classic) the game just needed the extra polish I think this one will give.

Really gonna be turn based love fest with 6 on the field!

Oh and I wanna give a JRPG SHOUT OUT! I just saw a game on PS3 and bought it on the spot. It went unnoticed somehow but was classically represented and well recieved and looks like everything we keep saying we want. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel.

It's actually cross-buy so you dust off your crusty Vita and use it for once if you want.

Sounds good. Though my summer may be spent with No Man's sky. Too many good games coming out this year. 2016 is *the* year of the PS4.
