“Nights of Azure” is out now in North America with a standard edition from KOEI TECMO available through retailers such as Amazon.
NIS America has produced an elaborate special Limited Edition pack including the game, sound track, art book, art cards and a large poster of character art.
The game takes place in the “Land Without Night”, a region where the people do not sleep. A great evil force, the Nightlord, has been defeated. But in his defeat, the Nightlord unleashed an evil blight across the land, and now fiends transformed by that blight, steal people away during the night as they sleep.
Players follow the story of two beloved friends working together to seal away the last of the Nightlord’s influence. Lead characters Arnise, a holy knight who fights to defend the people of the land without night; and Lilysse a saint, and it's her destiny to seal the Nightlord away. To accomplish this, Lilysse must sacrifice herself. Which might be a problem because she also happens to be Arnise’s girlfriend. So now Arnise has no choice but to fight to protect her love as she fulfills her destiny.
This is Gust’s first PlayStation 4 Game. Nights of Azure takes a much darker tone than Gust’s previous games marking a departure from their previous titles, the Atelier series of games and the Ar Tonelico games on PlayStation. It’s nice to see them bringing their unique talents to the PlayStation 4, look out for more from Gust this summer with a new Atelier game on PS4.
So, will you help Arnise and Lilysse defeat the Nightlord? Will you follow their love story to the end?

This one is quite different from how I thought it would be, but is clearly an action RPG and not an action game masquerading around with RPG elements.
Was just about to say how stunned I was to see Ben write about this till I saw it was another writer.Mine is on the way although I am a bit upset that theres no dub, is time to put on my reading glasses so to speak.
It may not be permanent, English voices along with other content tends to come fast and furious within weeks of these NIS America published games releasing. There's just never any press around it or mention on the store so most people don't notice. A lot is even free. I'd pop in every Tuesday after you get the game just to see. If memory serves, Megedimension Neptunia came to us in English and the Japanese DLC popped up a week or two later.
I feel like I want to mention though, a big drawback to English, while these guys hire the best actors, is that they don't voiceover a lot of the work and you end up reading it anyway.

Youre right about the spontaneous dubs that happen in most NIS games.Is now normal for me to hear dialogue and in the very next scene is quiet, not a deal breaker so i'll enjoy the game regardless.
I think the localization was handled by KOEI TECMO, but NIS America were given the opportunity to handle the Collector's edition. NISA do a fantastic job with special editions, and KOEI TECMO were pretty clear previously that they wanted to handle game localization on the mor recent Atelier titles. Personally, I could handle NISA handling localization and special editions, but if It works better for KOEI TECMO to handle the localization and NISA to handle the special editions, I'm all for it, if it means we get more games from the pair of them.

Gotta love how tasteful the Japanese do this stuff too, unlike say "Gaycation".
LOL Vitron, go back and replay Atelier Rorona and listen to Astrid's dialog…you might rethink a little. 😉
That's way too deep of a backlog to dive unfortunately. I haven't played it yet. The only Ateliers I've played were Totori, Escha and Logy.
I could reword my statement to "blatant yuri" tho. 😛
