We don't know a huge amount about the next Mass Effect .
And while it's customary for a development studio to hype its own game, it's always encouraging to hear positive things about a massively anticipated title.
Mass Effect: Andromeda might soon start making waves in the headlines, if a new Tweet from BioWare Design & Art boss Alistair McNally is any indication. It seems he recently reviewed the "creative progress" on the game and his conclusion was as follows:
In the past, BioWare has offered a few interesting updates on Twitter . It's enough to keep people talking but really, we need to see more of the new Mass Effect . Think it'll make it by holiday 2016?

I hope this can do for Mass Effect like what Dragon Age Inquisition did for Dragon Age.
While Dragon Age Origins was still my favourite, Inquisition was a much better game than DA2.
I loved ME1, thought ME2 was okay, and well everyone around here knows how I felt about ME3.
I'm hoping they can bring back some of the exploration that ME1 had, bring back the MAKO, let me explore planets even if they aren't wildly detailed. Also, make the game more open, ME2 and ME3 felt like Corridor shooters where ME1 had a more open feel to it.
Origin was also my favorite played like over 400hrs. I like what they did with the system in Inquisition but unfortunately… I hated the cast of female characters so I ditched it after getting halfway and realising the sad truth… I won't be buying their game again before having checked that next time they are not just making a game to please some neo-feminist crowd and making every romance-able woman in the game subpar to 85% of the population around me lol XD
Hope Mass Effect gets the gameplay bonuses but doesn't lose all the space hotties 😀 (I'll be on my guard now)

"ME2 was okay" waaaaaaaaaat
Best entry in the series, by far, IMO. I honestly can't even stand the first game, and probably won't ever replay the third, but I've gone through 2 at least five times.
@Bio
ME2 had really great game play for each specific class. I really liked the class specific skills.
However it felt to much like a stop and pop shooter and there were some serious flaws in the leveling system.
For example it was easier to beat the game in the hardest mode as a level 1 than a level 20 or whatever the cap was in that game.
I felt like ME2 was smaller than ME1 in every sense of the word. Less weapon and armor choices, less exploration, the cities were tiny with less to do in them etc. Some say it was more quality over quantity, and I agree in some areas, but in other areas I do not.
The character stories were amazing but the over arching story was just kind of meh. Terminator reaper for the end boss was a let down and made no sense lore wise, and that was retconned in the ME3 DLC anyway. Also the collectors…so much wrong lore wise with them as well. The overarching story in ME2 had no affect on anything and the game ends the same way ME1 ended….with the reapers at our doorsteps, but ME2 didn't really push the narrative forward. Well its DLC did, in fact in one DLC pack all of ME2s main story is made obsolete and half is retconned lol.
I don't think ME2 was a bad game I played through it about 3 times. However I played through ME1 about 10. Tried out all the classes, played through NG+ with a couple of them etc.
I will admit the gameplay in ME1 was rough around the edges but once you leveled up it really showed its RPG roots. Nothing was more fun than tricking out an assault rifle that never over heated, and shot ammo that ripped through everything.
TLDR
I liked ME2 but there were some serious flaws with it. There were serious flaws with ME1 but playing it when it launched on the 360 I had never played anything like it and it still remains one of the best RPGs….not shooters that I have played to this day.
Inquisition was all filler to me, with 2-3 story sequences that mattered (yay I get the sword!) I liked that one 🙂
Origins still beats all!
I wonder if companies that put out these tweets/posts actually think people take them at their word, anymore.
"Oh, EA says their new EA game will be one of their best EA games yet. Well, if EA says so it must be true!"
Yeah I was thinking what company would ever say, "Hey we are releasing a new game and its sub par! Look forward to it next year."
I don't trust anything EA or any publisher says anymore.
I think them mentioning the dang thing is news. And now we know it will be bigger. Cuz I thought they'd make it smaller. lol.
Why should them simply mentioning their own game be news? Just to be clear this isn't something I'm calling out this site or anyone in particular over. I'm calling out publishers who act like we should give a shit every time they talk about how great their game is going to be.
What else are they going to say? That their game sucks so they hope you pre-order so they get your money before you have a chance to find out? That their 'totally optional' microtransactions are optional in that beating the game is optional? That they totally half-assed most of the sidequests and hope you won't notice?
If someone notable outside EA looks at an EA game and says "wow this EA game looks super great so far", that's notable, IMO. EA telling you their game is going to be great is just EA doing at least one part of their job correctly for a change.
Never did finish 3. The luster came off when I got sick of just doing mission politics to get a-holes on my side for the end sequence. Bioware always does that!
I want a beginning, middle, and end to my story. Not a team building exercise.
The thing that actually sucks about that is that it was made to seem necessary when it was completely optional, just like the multiplayer. I played exactly five multiplayer matches against bots, and skipped a lot of the tedious side missions, and still got through just fine.
Sorry EA I still remember your last post about how it'll contain "competitive multiplayer" so I already know it won't be the best, and will sadly probably be the worst Mass Effect game, continuing the downward spiral all the way from the great original game.
If they continue the trend from Inquisition, they'll just make every female ugly and/or lesbian with COD like gameplay, fetch quests, and make the Asari ugly. Bioware has been completely infested with the parasites known as femi-nazi's,sjw's, and the politically correct. Bioware is like a zombie, they still walk but are no longer alive and the person you knew…they are gone.
If it compares like Inquisition to Origins, no.
