PSXE Poll Update: MGSV Is Definitely In Line For GotY 2015

It's bound to win lots of awards at the end of the year, but do you think Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is worthy of Game of the Year?

According to our latest poll, the answer is yes.

The majority of participants answered that Hideo Kojima's latest magnum opus is indeed going to win GotY this year. A large number of people also say they think MGSV will "probably" win but it's not guaranteed just yet. That's understandable, though, considering the potentially amazing titles on tap for the fall.

MGSV definitely captured the hearts of critics everywhere, and it also seems to be quite popular out of the gate, which isn't too surprising. So, we all know what you think of this game – yep, just about everyone loves it – but what did you think of the PlayStation 4 exclusive, Until Dawn ? A couple weeks back, we learned from a separate poll that most of you planned to purchase it , but that doesn't mean everybody liked it.

So, what say you?

Not for me anymore and this is coming from MGS fan. After several hours in, I find myself forcing to play it. The repetitiveness is to tiresome. I decided I'm gonna finish the story without any side missions (if that's even possible for difficulty reasons) and that's it.
I get it now. Kojima said it himself – he always wanted to create open world game with tactical stealth/action gameplay. And he finally did it. But he should created new IP for that and leave MGS to it's core. And by that I mean story heavy, cut-scenes heavy and boss heavy linear experience.
I'm dissapointed.
Or maybe I'm just getting old and not following the "every game myst be sandbox" generation anymre…

Now, for Until Dawn – this is the game I might be actually drawn into. But I must first get it:)
