Ground Zeroes Patch Lets You Upload Data To The Phantom Pain

If you played Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and you've still got your save file, this news is for you.

Just hours before The Phantom Pain hits store shelves, Konami has released a patch for the PS4 version of Ground Zeroes that will allow players to upload their save data for use in the full adventure that launches today.

After you've installed version 1.04, you'll find the upload option in the main menu of the game. We're still not really sure what effect this has on The Phantom Pain ; i.e., exactly what data transfers over, but we've heard it includes Mother Base recruits and outfits. For the record, it doesn't seem like this functionality is available yet on Xbox One but we imagine an update for Microsoft's console isn't far off.

Also, don't forget that data transfers only work within the same platform family. So, PS3 to PS4 and Xbox 360 to Xbox One, but no 360 to PS4, for example.

I'm curious to see what the Metal Gear V DLC code is that came with Ground Zeroes. Not long to go!
