The Bridge, Or “The M.C. Escher Game,” Puzzles You Today

Ever looked at an M.C. Escher painting and wondered, "if I was in it, how would I ever get out?"

Well, the developers at The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild apparently wanted to give you the opportunity…in a manner of speaking.

It's a game called The Bridge and it launched today for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Vita. As described over at the PlayStation Blog , it's an "unconventional platformer" because there is no jump button; you must navigate through the puzzles by walking and utilizing the unique mechanic of gravity rotation. As you progress, you will encounter gravitational vortexes, inverted gravity, and objects that have gravitational vectors different than your own.

If you're unfamiliar, M.C. Escher was an artist who created famous works based on impossible reality and gravity. You'd know these drawings if you saw them; "Waterfall" and "Relativity" are two of the most popular. Can you imagine being in such environments?

I can. Gotta try it.
