Which new IP do you think most deserves a sequel?
I suppose one could make a strong case for Bloodborne , even though many will say it essentially falls into the Demon's Souls / Dark Souls franchise. From Software has proven they can deliver a masterful production and beyond that, a Bloodborne sequel would also be helpful for PlayStation 4 (as the follow-up title would be an exclusive, right?).
I'd like to see a sequel to The Order: 1886 even though I'm sure in the vast minority. Few gamers care about quality linear adventures anymore, so even if Ready at Dawn did do another game, they'd have to make it more open. If they didn't, the next game would just get 3s and people would be at the studio's doors with torches and pitchforks. Morons.
Actually, I'd really like to see another Driveclub . I'm sure they're planning to just keep expanding on the original vision, which is fine, but I still think they should consider re-releasing a whole new product in a few years. The game has such a ridiculous amount of potential and you could get some solid PS4 buzz going with a Driveclub 2 .

bloodborne deserves a prequel.i would love to see the fall of the great city and its surrounding areas as you fight tooth and nail preserve one last seed of hope or something probably a little less corny. maybe you're just trying to save yourself and bring along anyone with the forethought to go along.
it would be a good chance to try something new with npc's and story telling
Bloodborne definitely deserves a sequel while The Order should just be forgotten about altogether.
Yup we should just forget about The Order. That game was mediocre and doesn't sell that well…
I know most people enjoyed it and good on them, but imo the game was disappointing and behind the flashy looks was just another average, generic shooter with a ho-hum story and an uninteresting group of old battle axes for characters.
Unless they discarded some of grandads army, added some more enemy types instead of one Lycan and a handful of soldiers and made the experience less QTE friendly then i would be happy to put my displeasure of the original game aside and give it another chance but the possibility of that is near to nil.
Games like The Evil Within, and maybe even Watch Dogs could definitely benefit from sequels imo as they both offered some pretty good ideas first time around to build and expand on.
Last gen's Heavenly Sword is another i would've liked to have seen a sequel for, maybe Hellblade will be it's successor?
the order needs a reboot if it needs anything
Any game that uses the same exact QTE sequence for two different boss fights, including the final boss, probably doesn't warrant a sequel.
I'd like to see Metal Gear Rising get a sequel, or would have before Kojima left Konami.
A sequel to L.A. Noire would also be awesome, but apparently that team has been trying to get their 'spiritual successor' off the ground for years with zero success, so I doubt that'll ever happen.
The only two games I really wanted a sequel to, Human Revolution and Mirror's Edge, are already getting exactly that, so I'm pretty content in the sequel department these days.
but the sequel is where you fix the mistakes, a lot of games weren't so great the first time out but once you add a number they become legendary.
The Order is beyond saving and must be allowed to die…
I agree, World. I'm not saying a game like that couldn't have a sequel that turned out great. The discussion is about which games you think deserve a sequel, which I think is fundamentally different.

I dunno, Fareez. The first Killzone was abysmal in pretty much every single way, but Killzone 2 turned out pretty solid.
The order sequel definitely need to do something different to make it stand out, like make it action rpg or something. I never play Killzone 1 before so I dunno. 🙂

I'd also add Uncharted to the list. While the first game was good, Uncharted 2 was one of the best games ever made.
The first Uncharted was solid start to finish, though. Naughty Dog just knocked it out of the park with the sequel, and that's in large part because they already laid a great base with the original.
Despite the fact that Killzone 2 is nowhere near as good as Uncharted 2, it's more impressive in this way because the first Killzone was nothing but wasted potential and sloppy execution. Going from really good to HOLY SHIT AWESOME isn't as hard as going from hot garbage to pretty good, IMO.
Oh yes a sequel to L.A. Noire would be awesome. I really miss that game.

I'm on the same page as Bio lately. The two games I want sequels to (Mirrors Edge and Deus Ex) both have sequels coming out. Which brings me to a conversation I had with Dillonthebunny last night,which touched on something both WorldsEnd and I agree with, we still haven't found that killer app to hook us this gen. I'm going through an indecisive gaming phase at the moment with current gen titles, so I fired up the PS4 edition of last gens Sleeping Dogs. What a fantastic game. That stirred the conversation onto games we'd love to be playing right now and I made the case for having PS4 ports of PS3's Mirrors Edge and Deus Ex Human Revolution. I didn't buy a new console to play ports of games, but I would be willing to make the exception for them. So my question would be, are there any games that you'd like to see ported? Of course backwards compatibility would solve everything but Sony want us to buy all our games again.

I'd like to see a sequel to the order maybe not a direct sequel. It could be spun off in a lot of different directions hunting different types if monsters. Its a playground of what could be explored in that world of this Order. Of course they need it to be more open and less cinematic.
The Evil Within would be nice but thinking of fighting and running from the spider woman, gives me chills.
I'll say Watch Dogs. The first game certainly didn't live up to the hype but with one game under their belt and plenty of feedback, the developers could make a great second, provided they take the correct criticisms on board and try to fix them.
It's not on PS4 so I'm not sure if I should mention it, but I bought an Xbox One in large part to play Sunset Overdrive and really like it. I'd love to see a sequel that hopefully gets a PS4 release as well.

I would absolutely be interested in a sequel to 'The Order: 1886.' The plot and atmosphere are just my kind of thing, but I admit that I wish the game was longer and/or had more replayability to it. If Ready at Dawn did that, I would be significantly more excited about another entry.
The Order for sure. Because it will keep it in the headlines which I know Bio just loves.

Every article on every site should be about The Order. Next year the presidential candidate who talks about The Order the most will get my vote, even if they run on a platform of kicking puppies to boost the economy.
Bloodborne and The evil within for sure . Now that Shinji Mikami decided it s not the time to stop scaring people yet . I hope he will manage to work on a new dino crisis game like he want .
As for the order , just started playing it . Finally got to a price point ( 40 $ ) i m willing to pay for a short linear game with no replay value .So , let s wait and see if it will make the list .
Also , still waiting on Lost odyssey 2 🙁 .

and yes, I could go for an Order 1887 or whatever. 1886 was missed opportunity, but some of the cutscenes and acting were very well done if you were paying close attention.
Actually, Dying Light! If they moved a few notches away from the traditional zombie apocalypse setting and added some originality to the mix, character design and overall improvements the result could be darn good.

It still strikes me as so strange how that game has such a higher user rating (74 from 58 critics vs 79 from over a 1000 users. PS4-side) on Metacritic.
Usually user-scores of games are lower than the critical consensus. see Arkham Knight, Witcher 3, Bloodborne etc. But Dying Light? Totally different. It's really a head scratcher. Could it be a very real definition of an under-rated game?

I mean really, even the acclaimed GTAV holds a a 9.7 on PS3 (i chose PS3 to eliminate remaster hate) with just a 8.2 user score. It really is something special when a user score well eclipses the critic score, from what I can tell

That's an interesting observation. I've never paid much attention to user ratings but my impression is that they typically are very bipolar: Either very high or very low. So here we probably have a majority who rate it very high then… But I dunno.
The issues with dying light were mostly of technical nature, and users maybe tend to ignore that (or not really notice) if they like the setting. But yeah you may have the very definition of an underrated game there!

The Order 1886 sequel I'm all on board for….
Although it was missing some key elements, it was breaking new ground for gaming….
The atmosphere and voice acting was top notch, it felt premium all the way through…
The Order 1886 Deserves a sequel that continues the fantastic story it has begun. No the game wasn't perfect, QTE's were over done, and the level of exploration could be expanded but it was no where near the broken game critics would have you believe it is.
We need well crafted linear adventures so that we can have those true high moments of gaming. Open world is fun and has it's place, but too many games are doing it…often games that shouldn't. When it comes down to it if you think every games needs to be 40-200 hours you need to reevaluate you life because you're spending way to much time playing games.
Bloodborne obviously deserves it. A critically acclaimed and well selling exclusive on PS's boat earns it two sequels at the least.
One reason it's amazing is that it manages to draw in people who didn't like Souls games much -like myself. Likewise there's a good portion of Souls fans who hate or dislike Bloodborne. Mizaki succeeded in re-inventing his brand of play for two gamer types.
I would like to see an Order 1886 sequel, even if it doesn't "deserve" it by conventional means. I enjoyed it a lot but it was hated by most critics and it sold like crap.

Dynamic-stormy-wet weather
Replays and photo mode
User customized music playlists
Completely overhauled grip/drift physics
New tracks and world locations
Many more cars and variety.
It doesn't need a sequel.

Hell yeah, Driveclub is fun as hell. The simplistic nature of the overall game structure more approachable and enjoyable.
Bloodborne is easily my favorite game for PS4 thus far. Sequel or prequel would be stellar.
If Ubisoft can do to Watchdogs what they did with AC1 to AC2 then hell yes. If not, I'll pass because the first game was quite forgettable.
The Order 1886 was a good time indeed, but too short and who the hell wanted to playthrough it a second time since it is mainly cutscenes. Sequel with a price cut is welcome indeed!!!
Not sure how they would pull it off, but I'm down for Knack getting a sequel. I know it wasn't super popular, but I loved the hell out of that game. I'm still trying to platinum it.
