GameStop To Donate PS4 Bundles To Ronald McDonald Houses

PlayStation 4s for all!

Mega-game retailer GameStop has announced a new charity initiative that will support Ronald McDonald Houses, the charity led by fast food giant McDonald's.

GameStop will donate PS4 bundles to all 180 Ronald McDonald houses in the United States, and these bundles will include an extra DualShock 4 controller and copies of LittleBigPlanet 3 , Driveclub , and MLB 15: The Show . That seems like an appropriate assortment for youngsters, wouldn't you say? And by the way, this isn't new for GameStop; they've been working with McDonald's for over 6 years.

If you're unfamiliar, Ronald McDonald Houses are supposed to be "homes-away-from-homes" for families who must travel to a faraway hospital or care center for their child's treatment. It's not a bad idea…I just wish it wasn't driven by a company that opts to feed kids toxic sludge as opposed to, you know, food .

But it's nice to have PS4s.

As much as I hate McDonald's, the Ronald McDonald house at Mission Viejo hospital where my mom works does a ton of good. I donate my gameinformers and some games from time to time. I find it funny that there's nothing but healthy food in there, except for some candy that I think other people bring in anyway.

The only real problem they have is hospital employees and guest stealing anything that's not literally bolted down. There were a lot of things going missing a couple years ago and an investigation turned up a pretty deep theft ring headed by the cleaning crew and a security guard. And at least once a month a guest steals all the diapers and food in there. They're usually from different countries too so there's not much they can do.

Anyway, that's awesome to hear cause right now they only have (my local one anyway) 360s and a Wii that's seen some better days. Hopefully some employee doesn't find a way to get it in their car before the unit.
